Forwarded by a contact with a history in the intelligence community. The Christmas Day attempt could have been devastating.

Binary explosives have been around commercially for a long time - we called it Kinepak, the commercial name.

Take a look at how devastating this stuff is, and so easy to conceal and use. The difference between now and then is that it was then manufactured specifically for commercial use and was relatively sizeable compared to these tiny (and highly effective) kits being produced specifically for terrorist operations
